I am a attempting to walk through the tutorial for building a JIRA addon.

https://developer.atlassian.com/static/connect/docs/latest/guides/project-activity-tutorial.html

I get to step #8 and when I browse to the local jira i've just started up I get redirected to the following:
localhost:2990/jira/secure/errors.jsp

Failed to start JIRA due to a build number inconsistency.

The data present in your database is newer than the version of JIRA you are trying to startup.
Database build number: 71001
JIRA app build number: 70120

Please use the correct version of JIRA. You are running: 7.0.10#70120-sha1:37e3d7a6fc4d580639533e7f7c232c925e554a6a

In searching online I've not seen any resolution of this, and at this point i'm so new to this that I don't know where to start.

Hi Clinton,

Sorry about the confusion here. This is a bug in the latest version of the atlassian plugin sdk. We're trying to get a new version released with a fix.

In the meantime, if you just need to start up JIRA, you can use the following command instead: atlas-run-cloud --application jira-software

This command will start up JIRA with JIRA Software installed as well, and it happens to avoid the bug.

We unfortunately don't have a workaround for Confluence at this stage. If you need to start up Confluence, you'll need to install an earlier version of the SDK.

Regards,

Jake
