I was very interested in the Confluence 'Future Macro' Mike outlined
in his keynote. To jog people's memory this could be used to surround
an existing macro and would allow the page to render right away while
making an AJAX call to retrieve that macro's content.

Does anyone have any pointers to documentation on this? I couldn't
find any docs nor a public Subversion directory.

I did find this and can look through the source code, but would like
to be sure I at least have the latest:
https://maven.atlassian.com/contrib/com/atlassian/confluence/ext/future-macro/

thanks!

Hi,

Answered my own question.

I grabbed the jar from the link above and guessed at the syntaxt which
is just
{future}
{my-macro}
{future}

I made a 15 second video which shows just how cool the future macro is
when you have something that may take a few seconds to render. In my
case the sp-list macro is retrieving a list from a slow SharePoint
server which used to cause the page to hang till retrieved but now
renders instantly. Nice animations too.

Just FYI,
