[apologies if you receive this twice]

As you know, every Tuesday afternoon we have an informal zoom meeting to discuss astrophysics. This was previously called the ATLAS meeting, but ATLAS as a project has pretty well finished, and so we have renamed ATLAS as MAERA

MAERA (Meetings About Extragalactic Radio Astronomy) is a weekly informal research telecon attended by students and staff to discuss papers, current research, current problems, etc. about extragalactic continuum radio astronomy, including new ASKAP results etc. It is the successor to the weekly ATLAS meetings.

In Greek mythology, MAERA was a daughter of ATLAS.

If you attend ATLAS meetings you should have just received an invitation to join the MAERA mailing list, which replaces the ATLAS mailing list. If you haven’t, and would like to join it, or would like to use a different email address from the one I’ve used, please email me and I’ll add your email address to the list.

Cheers

Ray
