Hi guys

I’m planning to change the way we schedule future ATLAS meetings. Rather than asking people to speak at the next ATLAS meeting, I’d like to set up a list of potential future speakers and topics to choose from, as I’ve started doing on http://atlas-project.pbworks.com/w/page/14169172/Meetings (See “future meetings”).

Please email me (or just add to the wiki) if
a) you have a topic that you’d like to see discussed in a  future meeting. This may be something you know nothing about, but you’d like to hear someone else giving a talk on it.
b) you would like to volunteer to give a talk
c) you would like to nominate someone else to give a talk on some particular topic
d) you’d like to volunteer to lead a discussion on some topic

Note that you can volunteer for some future date (i.e. say something like "I’d like to talk about x, but not in the next few weeks”)

I will then give you plenty of notice, but to avoid spending too much time on it, I’d recommend that you don’t start preparing your talk until the day before you speak.

The penalty for not volunteering to talk on a subject of your choice is that you may be volunteered to speak on something that wouldn’t be your first choice!

Cheers

Ray
