Hello.

Thank you for making this software and sharing it. I need help about one thing. I want to create a route in the program but as i figured out i need to select a graph folder which contains my region. I cannot find a graph folder for my region and i saw in a different topic that you can create them. So basically i need a helping hand. Can you create a graph folder for Turkey? Is there a way to create that graph on my own? I did a research on google but unfortunately there is no usefull information about creating this folders or i just search it wrong.

Best regards.

Hi,

Yes you need to load an offline graph for the region you want to do offline routing.

Unfortunately we have not available a central graphs server with all countries (as we have many for the vector maps).
I maintain here some graphs, most of them after user requests.

For the record, the offline routing is performed via the GraphHopper library.
You can check for info there and using as source OSM data from Geofabrik.

I can create a graph for the region you interested.
And the next days all the graphs are to be updated with turn restrictions.

You can find the graph of Turkey in:
http://www.talent.gr/public/graphs/

It contains (car, bike, foot) with elevation data and turn restrictions.

It's better to use the newly published Cruiser / Atlas.

Hello again.
I downloaded both graph and new version of the Atlas and it works like a charm. Thank you for your kind interest. I appreciate it.

Hello emux,

are you sure about turn-restrictions in graphhopper?

Because when trying the web instance at https://graphhopper.com/maps/ it does NOT pay attention to turn restrictions in my area.

So do I miss something?  I think the issue at graphhopper's github repo about this topic is still under development ...

The turn restrictions are currently working in GraphHopper with the Contraction Hierarchies disabled (see open issues 269 and 270).

I had a discussion with Peter about this and test it with OSM and proprietary network data (see closed issue 282).

The graphs that I have produced do not use contraction hierarchies, but have multiple travel modes (car, foot, bike) and turn restriction data in them.

About the web instance of GraphHopper (Peter can answer better),
but AFAIK it uses CH for speed so it cannot use turn restrictions right now.

Also you need to understand that OSM data are user based and there can be cases with missing TR.
A useful site with OSM turn restrictions viewing is:

Hi Emux,

I need an offline graph for Singapore and Malaysia region for playing around, could you help on this? Thanks.
Actually I'm more interested on how to create such graphs for offline routing, especially based on a custom map and data, instead of OSM.
Looking forward to your advise.

Hi Jon,

You can find the malaysia-singapore-brunei graph here.

In order to create graphs for offline routing you'll need the GraphHopper library.
That's what Cruiser / Atlas use internally for traversing the graphs.

To create custom vector maps you can check Mapsforge and our mailing list.

To create graphs from custom data - you better ask that in GraphHopper's mailing list (Peter should be able to help you better).
Of course a not trivial way would be to transform you custom data to OSM and follow the standard procedure (be sure to read its Wiki).
