Hi Emux,

thanks for your new version with pois!

I have the new version 1.2.23 with Data --> Open Poi  with the Germany.poi from Christian (OAM). I have no errormessage. But the "Data--> Point of interest" is grayed and not selectable.

What am I doing wrong?
How can i search pois?

Best regards
Achim

Right click on map and select 'Search' for the query dialog to appear.

The menu 'Points of interest' can show a list of the results after the search.

Thanks for the feedback.

Indeed as we finalize the POI API, we can start thinking improvements of POI usage inside the applications.

Hi Emux,

is the following functionality on the POI (GPX) TodoList?

The ability
to search
Routes(-relationen) like bicycle, hiking, bus etc and show this on the map (selective/additive).

Furthermore, the
possibility of the routes as GPX to export?

I am very impressed with the progress of the POI integration!

Kindly regards
Achim

Ps.: For example http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/2083866

Currently we process 'closed' ways that can be defined as 'polygons', e.g. buildings.

In a further step we can enhance the processing to relations and/or to regular lines.
But these are more advanced and effort and planning has to be invested.

Note: Pre-process tools like osmconvert can be used already as a previous step to poi-writer.
