G’day
For those who have used Atlantis for a while you will know that there was a tool called Olive that could be used to explore the 4D map-based Atlantis output. It was written in java by A CSIRO scientist more than 20years ago and we did not have the source code.
There are R alternatives already in the tools set for Atlantis (and I am very grateful to the people who write those), but they didn’t quite do exactly what Olvie did for me so with the help of Claude code we now have a python based version we will have the
capacity to adjust. Right now it does only what Olive did (though only with one colour palette, let me know if you need more optioms).
If this is useful for you but you would like it to be able to do some additional things please let me know. Being able to compare simulations is one option. Another one being able to select files from with the viewer rather than on a command line etc. Anyways
let me know and we can start to expand options.
Also if you find a but let me know but I have tested this on lots of models and so long as the bgm file is with the nc file to be explored it should work.
Thanks
Beth
