As a Latino myself, I'm not going to write a review that attacks the viewpoints of readers who are not Latino. My review will be more along the lines of how the story pulled me in and how it changed my life. Reading this book made me think about censorship, how it affects our culture and how the media tries to control what people think through their mass media outlets.
I don't think the book takes a strong stance on censorship or the issues that surround it. I think it's more a story and an emotional soap opera gone bad. I think any reader who's tired of politically correct trash can relate to what happens to Antonio. For those looking for a dark comedy, this is not the book for you, but for those looking for an interesting and thought provoking Latino/ Latino story that will keep you reading till the end, then you won't leave this book disappointed.
