The Other Side by Jacqueline Woodson is the fourth book in the Twilight series. It is a picture book, written in a cute and charming way, about a girl named Willow and her magical, horse-riding friend Twilight. The author, Jacqueline Woodson, has been criticized for poor writing, plot inconsistencies and sometimes poor characterization (not enough of both characters and in this book), but I think these criticisms can't be totally placed on her behalf. If you like the Twilight books and especially The Other Side by Jacqueline Woodson, then you'll love this book because it's just so good!

The Other Side centers on a stable, peaceful life for Willow as she slowly realizes that she is possessed by the demon that took over her mind and body while she was asleep. As the novel progresses, we also learn bits of the personality and history of the other character, Twilight, and learn how and why he came to be like this. The Other Side by Jacqueline Woodson is fast paced with a lot of humor throughout the book.

If you are a fan of the Twilight series or haven't read any of them so far, then The Other Side by Jacqueline Woodson is definitely the book for you! The illustrations are so lifelike, that even the kids will have a hard time keeping their heads up while enjoying this book. The book will keep kids entertained until they run out of gas.
