Hi All, How are things going with Atlantic HALO? Any plans for
flights this winter? I'm involved with a new group, a hackerspace in
Louisville, KY: LVL1, ( http://lvl1.org ) that's become interested in
doing a trans-atlantic flight program. They are quite aggressive
about it, and hope to fly at least a few this winter season, basing
the information on public SNOX design and telemetry data, and guided
by my experience. To that end, they wanted more detailed data from
Spirit of Knoxville flights, and I dug around and was able to put more
info, mainly more flights telemetry, online.

In the spirit of cooperation, I wanted you guys to be aware of
additional data to study, and the LVL1 analysis of it (which is going
on right now, and results will be posted in the next two weeks).

It is temporarily hosted at:
http://meatandnetworking.com/lvl1tabwiki/doku.php?id=analysis:snox

Additional information will be found through:
http://wiki.lvl1.org/ldb

Thanks,
Dan

Hey Dan,
Thanks for the heads up - we'll get their eventually... Really
appreciate the openness of the data - i'm sure it'll come in useful.
Had a browse of those sites - good info on their already and
appreciate the ukhas links - I'm really excited to see a ZP flight on
the dl-fldigi/spacenear.us system - never really seen how it'll
perform with HF rather then the traditional VHF.

One thing you did mention somehwere and I think would be helpful would
be for us (all teams together) to start recruiting a network of HF
stations - while it is a race as such the listening out doesn't have
to be, also would allow us to iron out some of the issues in the
system itself.

James
