Tanner - 6 year old neutered male Blue Merle Australian Shepherd looking for his forever home!

Tanner is a six year old neutered male blue Merle Aussie located in Maine. He is good with other dogs, safe with cats, likes children, and is okay with loose chickens! He's had basic training, has good house manners, and is good on leash. He does have a strong herding drive and his owners have left him loose while they were away at work and the inevitable problems with joggers and bicycles have happened. His owners want him gone right away since "he's too much trouble." This is a nice friendly out-going guy with no Aussie reserve - only physical problem is overweight from too little exercise.

 

Tanner has been evaluated by a very Aussie-experienced trainer. The trainer had Tanner at her home with all her Aussies (and a cat) for a couple of hours. The evaluation was very thorough - and if she could have she would have taken him on the spot. The trainer thinks he is a very deserving case and is willing to talk to anyone about him.
