Mar 2, 1st Thursday - First Thursday, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Indoor singing from The Sacred Harp and The Eclectic Harmony. Emory Presbyterian Church, 1886 North Decatur Rd, Atlanta GA 30307. Park behind the church, off Westminster Way. "Test-to-Sing" COVID precautions: Vaccination is required; don't come if you have any COVID or flu-like symptoms; same-day COVID antigen test required. Test at home, and bring the details to be verified. Tests are also available on site, if you arrive early. The singing will start at 10:00 A.M. at Ephesus Elementary School on Highway 100 between Bowdon and Franklin, GA. The address of the school is 24414 Highway 100; Roopville, GA 30170. Mar 11, Saturday before 2nd Sunday - Georgian Harmony singing at the home of John and Elsie Hollingsworth. 34.152384, -83.322767. Directions: From Athens: Take Hwy 29 north, towards Danielsville. At the light near the Ingles store, bear left onto Hwy 106. Just past the 9-mile marker, turn left onto Adams Clarke Rd (at the Hill's Automotive sign). Go 1.5 miles to mailbox on right numbered 1574. When driveway splits, bear left. From I-85 North: Take Exit 149 to Hwy 441 at Banks Crossing outlet malls. Turn right onto 441 South. Go about 5 miles to Hwy 98 and turn left. In about 8 miles you'll reach a 4-way stop in Ila. Turn right and go 0.8 mile, then turn right on Adams Clarke Rd, go 1.5 miles to mailbox on right numbered 1574. When driveway splits, bear left. Dinner on the grounds at noon. Mar 18,, Saturday before 3rd Sunday, Hoboken Singing (Cooper Book), Hoboken, GA - Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church. We will start singing at 9:00 AM, have dinner on the grounds at 12, then sing on until 2:30-3:00 PM. The church address is 12540 Central Avenue Extension Hoboken, GA 31542. Free parking available across College Street from the church. 10:00 AM to 3 PM, Books: The Sacred Harp and The Christian Harmony (2010) Sacred Harp and Christian Harmony books will be available for loan or sale. Lunch: on your own. Following the singing (weather permitting), a group may walk to Mr. Walker's gravesite to sing a song or two for him. Mar 26 and 27, 4th Sunday and Saturday before, 10:00 am, Georgia State Convention, Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church, Oak Grove Road, Carrollton, GA. We will begin singing at 10a with dinner on the grounds at noon, so bring yourself and your friends and some food if you're so inclined. COVID info: This is an indoor singing, but we will open windows and doors on all 4 sides of the house and have fans running for help with ventilation. Masks optional.
