Topic: We will look at how MailChimp's infrastructure scales. PHP (how the code handles many shards and pools of users), MySQL (replication, MMM, size, etc), sharding users, etc.
About the Presenter: Eric is a software engineer at MailChimp and the MailChimp project lead. He's been building software for 14 years and using PHP since joining MailChimp in 2010. He loves baseball and is currently enamored with the possibilities created by 3D printers and hobbyist electronic kits like Arduino and the Raspberry Pi.
