I hate to be the one to bring it up, since I'm part of the problem.
However, looking at it objectively, our Division II team is the only
one who has a legitimate chance of making and doing something in the
playoffs.

I don't think we should punt the D1 season per se, but it would seem
to make the most sense for this season to place more emphasis on
getting as many players on the D2 squad as possible to give them the
best chance of making and moving through the playoffs.

Again, I'm not saying we disband or de-emphsize D1. What I believe we
should do is supplement the D2 roster with (mainly) D1 players as
needed/available to give Old White the best shot at winning every
week.

Believe I would have taken this perspective to the Board & Competition Chair (Bart Schwartz) vs. the club. No way we punt on D1 and fold the tent. Will probably not find much sympathy for this position from the D1 half of the club. We aren't out until we are out.

Let's just say this much. We the D1 has put ourself in this hole and it is for us to dig ourself out. The only difference is that we will just have to travel more to accomplish our goals. We need to just focus on today's game and forget about national championships. If we can not win the games today then we will not get their anyway. So lets take today like it is our only game and start playing like a team.
D2 has its own players and who are we as D1 to say that we will play D2 to put us in better position. If we can not hack it then let the D2 players that comes out every week to train play and we then step up to get them ready to play.

Lets pick up from Thursday and build.
