Position Description: Junior Database Engineer

Basic Functions
Assist in the architecture and design of databases for mission-
critical enterprise applications. Also take leadership role in
establishing BI solutions that will include SQL Reporting Services
(SSRS) and SQL Analysis Services (SSAS) at a minimum.

Qualifications
• A Bachelors degree in EE, Computer Science or Mathematics or
equivalent is required.
• 2+ years as a DBA in a multi-tier configuration on MS SQL platforms
is required.
• Strong T-SQL and stored procedure development experience
• The successful applicant must have a detailed understanding of
relational database modeling and design concepts (e.g. keys, indexes,
stored procedures).
• Experience with SQL Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience in creating a BI solution which includes a data
warehouse, SSIS and SSRS.
• Experience developing and maintain SSRS.
• Experience integrating SSRS into applications is a plus.
• Software development experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with developers on architecting and designing
databases for mission-critical enterprise applications
• Analyze existing code to locate defects, determine their cause, and
implement solutions.
• Assist systems
• Work with Product Verification Testing daily and review test plans
to ensure complete functional coverage, enable an automation strategy,
and provide technical assistance.
• Interaction on a daily or weekly basis with other functional groups,
such as manufacturing and marketing
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other engineers, and “lead by
example” with respect to quality and schedule awareness.
