Hey guys--

Doug Henkle reached out this week to check in on Atlanta availability/capacity/willingness to spend some time with the crop of Ivanwald guys Aug. 1 weekend--they had been playing by ear most road trips with COVID and have ended up having to cancel most of them. I imagine we would fall in that boat as well? Would any of you have any realistic leeway to do that? To me, feels a bit risky, but on the flip side, would love to come through for them since they have had a lot fall through. Please shoot me a quick response if you have opinions here.

Miss you all.

Andrew

I share in your sentiment, for it must be a huge bummer for them these days. It’s so dagum hot that it’s hard to do anything outside really. We just started a new nanny and have a former associate coming to live with us soon so we’d err on the side of not being available to hang much at all unfortunately. I’d imagine that lodging becomes the main issue that would prevent them from being able to visit—unless they were getting a couple hotel rooms somewhere?

Even if they got hotel rooms, there’s not a whole lot to show them around the city these days since everything is so limited/closed. Floating the hooch is probably the only feasible things for them to do. Others weigh-in as well, I don’t want to shoot it down if y’all feel like it’s doable.

I’m available that weekend. Could spend four hours on a day walking the BeltLine, and visiting MLK Jr Park. Don’t know of a place they could stay however.
