Responsibilities:
Assist Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels team members in evaluating, structuring, and closing of real estate transactions. Responsibilities vary by project, but generally include:
• Developing pro forma financials and valuations using IRR, DCF and other various techniques
• Gathering and evaluating economic, demographic, and real estate market data
• Preparing presentations, offering memoranda and financial reports for clients of the firm
• Reviewing legal documents and other materials as part of the due diligence process or as part of on-going property oversight
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in Business Finance, Hotel Administration and/or Real Estate Finance with
a strong record of academic achievement and demonstrated quantitative skills
• Dedicated, relevant hospitality experience; valuation or consulting experience a plus
• Strong analytical ability
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

ASSETT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT
Reports to: VP Asset Manager
Position Summary:
The Asset Management Associate will provide analytical and property operations support to Asset Manager(s). He / she will assist in managing and maximizing the performance and value of a national Commercial Real Estate Portfolio that consists of Office properties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight of third party property managers/brokers with respect to operations, marketing, leasing, and sales.
• Write and prepare Asset Business Plans.
• Assist Asset Manager in the disposition of properties to including the distribution of due diligence materials, pro-rations, and post-closing reconciliations.
• Model NPV’s, property valuations, and DCF’s utilizing Argus and Excel.
• Perform analysis of property operations including review of budgets, operating statements, rent rolls, traffic reports, bank statements, capital improvements, etc.
• Participate in regularly scheduled calls with property managers and other third parties.
• Maintain properties in compliance with Policies and Procedures and other guiding documents, utilizing CAMS database.
• Perform Cash Management: administration of property operating funding requests between the Property Manager and Accounting, ensure that real estate taxes are paid and appealed, ensure that appropriate property insurance is in place.
• Perform site inspection of properties on a nationwide basis to encompass analysis of market conditions, competitive position of asset, property condition and completion of improvements to property if applicable;
Skills/Experience Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree with a major or substantial coursework in real estate or finance preferred.
• Five to ten years experience in commercial property management, development, and/or brokerage with an excellent understanding of the valuation process for income producing properties.
• Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial analyses.
• Outstanding writing skills and oral presentation ability.
• High integrity, ability to communicate articulately and concisely, strong interpersonal and partnership skills, achievement drive, and intellectual curiosity.
• Significant travel required – ~35%
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Argus.
Compensation:
Final starting salary is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and professional achievement. The total compensation package will consist of a base salary, bonus, and a full range of employee benefits.
