Greetings,

I'm looking for some help in developing a working demonstration of a location-centric iOS app.  The app uses device location to find nearby inventory very similar to how Uber finds nearby, available drivers.  The user can then reserve that availability.  The reservation would be handled by a third party web service.

Obviously, this would require user account management, payment processing and order history features.  The goal of this build is to launch the iOS app and service in a very small, targeted geographic area with actively participating partners to ensure that the features and workflow are successful.  It's a significantly reduced scope from a much larger vision.

I do not have immediate capacity to take on the development of this project.  I will free up in mid April.  I'd love to find someone who has more immediate availability who can get the ball rolling and, if you like it (and have done a great job), you have the option of taking over entirely.  I'd like to see this project heading in the right direction and the company founder is someone I admire and can vouch for.

A prototype has been delivered by another development consultant who got in over their head and were unable to deliver the promised functionality.  If I understand correctly, the UI designer had a developer but then lost the developer and outsourced after that.   yeah...  Many of the screens are in skeleton form and there are snippets of working code scattered throughout.  There is a small core data model and UI for most of the desired features.  It's a reasonable template to start with so I do not feel compelled to throw it out and start over but this is all up for discussion.

Please contact me if you have availability and the ability to work with core location, core data and web services using swift.  I can provide project management and mentorship to a finite degree until mid to late April and increased involvement after that.

Please no outsourcing/offshore agencies

many thanks,

Rusty
