Please join the Atlanta Emerging Librarians for a presentation on libraryleadership by Bill Meehan.
Bill is assistantprofessor in the MLIS Program at Valdosta State University, where he teachesthe course Leadership in Library and Information Centers and is in the processof forming the Library Leadership Institute.
“Library Leadership is Not an Oxymoron” is based on the certainty that leadersare needed at all levels of libraries and information centers and on theprinciple that effective leadership begins with knowing thyself. The programthus will 1) discuss the importance of leadership in the profession and 2)guide participants through several assessments designed to identify theirleadership strengths and weaknesses.
2 continuing education credits have been approved for this event.
Registration isrequired. Light refreshments will be provided.
