GNCC Arena Club Championships

Hi all,
Below is the information about the GNCC Arena Club Championships in
Woodstock, Vermont on June 22-24. It would be really great if we
could have a team go to this to represent the Atlanta Curling Club.
Dixon wants to attend, and is looking for some teammates! Please
respond if you are interested in going, or know someone who might be,
or if you have any questions about this event.

The Third Annual Grand National Curling Club Arena Club Championships
will be held at Union Arena in lovely Woodstock, Vermont, on June
22-24, 2012.

The bonspiel will be an Open format, with four events and a three-game
guarantee. The cost is $400 per rink. There will be a Get-Together on
Friday night, a banquet on Saturday night, and breakfast and lunch on
Saturday and Sunday are included. There will also be a Curl to the
Button competition.

In order to participate, players and teams must be eligible according
to the attached revised GNCC Rules for the event. The GNCC also
requires that each participant’s 2012-13 GNCC dues be paid prior to
the bonspiel. The event will be limited to twenty-four teams. Each
Arena Club in the GNCC is guaranteed a spot for at least one team so
long as the entry from and payment is received by the deadline, April
15. In the event an arena club cannot field a full rink, it can either
submit a partial rink or can fill out its team with players from
another GNCC Arena Club to form a mixed club team.

If there are additional teams that wish to enter from a Club, they
should send in their registration form and payment by the deadline;
they will be placed on the waiting list. The waiting list teams will
be added in the order in which entries were received. Per the GNCC
Rules, each club will be responsible to put their entries in numerical
order for selection if multiple teams are being submitted, and the
Club President or GNCC Representative must certify member and team
eligibility. Teams must register by filling out and mailing a
registration form and entry fee to the Union Arena.

Please note that the deadline for registration is April 15.
