Changes to Membership and Email Access

Hi guys,

It looks like our group has been discovered by spammers. I've changed
the permissions slightly to take care of this.

Sending messages had been restricted to members only, but becoming a
member had been fully open. I've now changed this so a new member
will make a request that is approved or denied. Spammers rarely ask
to become members.

I believe if you invite others to join, this is bypassed, but I'm not
sure. Either way, I'll let members join if they do request. If they
spam, I'll be sure they won't be members anymore ;-).
