Director of Engagement Services

Directed large and small scale projects at various client sites in the
Atlanta area. Was responsible for team formation, project planning,
customer relations, budgeting and reporting. Successfully interacted with
all levels of management. Coordinated client activities with multiple
service providers and subcontractors. Mentored technical managers,
technicians, programmers, and project administrators.

IBM (ISSC) Info’96 Centennial Olympic Games Project (March 1995 - Dec. 1995)
Atlanta, Georgia
Project Office & Data Collection Development Manager.

Re-engineered the Info’96 development team. Developed and supervised the
complete project plan including integration with other dependent projects.
Managed the application test team. Directed the problem and change
management process. Managed the installation of the translation and work
flow systems that were used in the 1996 games. Directed development of
complex data collection applications enabling various ACOG clients to
capture information required for the Info’96 system. Using a three tiered
client server architecture and an object oriented development model, fast,
flexible and efficient applications were constructed, tested and installed
for use.

Andersen Consulting (May 1994 - March 1994)
Atlanta, Georgia
Staff Assistant to the Project Manager.
Oversaw the complete life cycle project plan for a very large UNIX, client
server project. Developed performance metrics for Andersen and customer
management. Insured that the project deliverable and profit plan was met
through the timely development of custom project management tools.

Allied Stores - Allied/Federated - Federated Department Stores - The

Twenty-two years of continuous, diversified service in department store
merchandising and information technology within the same corporate entity.
The SABRE Group, Allied Stores Corporation, Maas Brothers/Jordan Marsh,
Maas Brothers, and Allied Stores Marketing are or have been divisions of
Allied Stores Corp. or Federated Department Stores which were combined in
1992.

Systems Manager, research and development. (1992 - 1994)
Responsible to senior management for evaluating and recommending the
hardware, software and processes necessary to move SABRE systems
development into the client server environment. Worked closely with sales
and consulting staff of hardware and software vendors. Supervised proof of
concept projects. Developed the initial PC merchandising system now in
production as well as several EDI systems.

Manager of training and executive development. (1989 - 1992)
Founded the training and executive development department. Coordinated
with all levels of the company to develop comprehensive technical training
and career advancement opportunities. Formulated a multiple media approach
using instructors and the latest electronic training media available.
Recruited qualified college graduates and established an in house
programming and consultant school that continues to provide the entry
level employee for the company. Formulated innovative curricula that
addressed training needs as well as urgent production schedules.

Senior Planning Analyst. (1988-1989)
Defined the scope and direction for the ACE merchandise planning systems.
Responsible for the planning and integration of all ACE retail and control
systems.

MIS Project coordinator. (1988 - 1988)
Directed all phases of retail systems development and implementation.
Developed a purchase order processing system that controlled merchandise
purchases from order to invoice payment and included automated
distribution center processing.

Merchandising executive. (1976 - 1988)
Held various buying and management positions. Responsible for all aspects
of volume and profit development. Consistently exceeded profit plan in the
most difficult departments. Highly successful at forming excellent
business relationships with vendors.

Marketing representative. (1972 - 1976)
Responsible for providing marketing and product direction for all Allied
and associated stores. Developed highly profitable quality private label
merchandise from world wide resources. This required extensive travel in
Europe and the Far East.
