Position: Network Implementation Specialist

Job Description: A division of a large outsourcing vendor in Alpharetta
that is a premier provider of Information Processing Services, has an
immediate opening for a Network Implementation Specialist in Dallas Texas.
Principal duties include: (1)Understand concepts, topologies, wiring
standards and protocols involved with Wide and Local Area Networks,
including Token-Ring, Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, SONET and digital circuit
channelization, ISDN, Switched56, TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, analog modem standards.
(2) Perform high-quality installation and on-going maintenance of data and
telecommunications equipment consisting of the following components: CISCO
Systems Routers (all models), IBM 3745 FEPs, AT&T/Paradyne DSU/CSUs, IDNX
muxes, Paradyne XL2000 Channel Extenders, D4 Channel Banks. (3) Provide
second and third level troubleshooting expertise of the above for the
Network Control Center, using Fireberds, Network General Sniffers and other
protocol analyzers. (4) Analyze Network Change requests and Client impact.
(5) Work cross-functionally with clients and the Network Services
organization in support of project initiatives.
The successful candidate will have:
Technical hardware configuration and troubleshooting expertise of the
equipment stated above
Strong documentation skills & excellent interpersonal and communication
skills; team player
Proven ability to work within guidelines and processes.
Ability to adjust to a rapidly changing environment.
College degree or equivalent experience in Data Communications
Preferred Skills: Lotus Notes, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and
Powerpoint) and Visio.
