That's odd...where are all those democrats who were spewing and sputtering
about the Bush twins a while back?
At least Barb and Jenna were trying to BUY their drinks.
Because they are lushes? Luckily for them, the SS agents are sworn to
secrecy about what they observe. Stories seem to indicate that they are
quite the party girls.
> Because they are lushes?
What did you do with yourself at their age?
Were you a teetotaler Ken?
Even if they are "lushes" as you claim, that pales in comparison to
burglary.
But that's okay with you, isn't it? After all, it's really all about
politics...
Boys will be boys...Dean's son gets a pass from you because daddy's a
democrat.

What's your point?
I've heard quite a few stories about Little Miss Chelsea too.
OH, we we're out making still's for a job to make money. Don't worry,
we only sell to Republicans making 44 Million a year or more.
They can afford to splurge a few million after the tax cuts. Purdue
learned that tax increases are Democratic and cuts are Republican, it
made my head spin.
Thing is, it all happened in the news as a gross twist in the how the
system is supposed to work. Taxes get raised for smokers and drinkers
in a reasonable manner... other "state" programs get their raise and
taxes are effectively redistributed.
Everyone is out of work and Employers no longer need the incentive to
offer health insurance. Who need's healthy employees when you can just
hire another. Somebody explain that incentive to me. Try. That's a
nationwide change... Bush best get busy with Dick. Cheney, that is.
Whatever happened to the local doctor that everyone went to? Work
doesn't pay for it anymore and nobody got a raise... Come to think of
it, most companies have just decided to quote an outrageous price that
was once a benefit and incentive for people.
The closer I look the sicker I become.

Shitfaced Chelsea?
She's been tearing stockings all over Europe.
Health care is not the government's responsibility.
This is an empty argument anyway. Parents quite often don't know what their
children are going to do. Jeb Bush's daughter is a serious drug addict (yet
his other daughter is a successful model). I definitely don't agree with
his politics, but all I can think about is what pain this must cause him as
a father. At some point, we should realize that politicians have all of the
usual human problems too and give them a pass on certain things. Just ask
yourself how much understanding and privacy you might want if this were
your child. I wish that all sides would lay off of each other's children.
Amen Jim.
When they've got their hands on the big companies, they're involved.
Think about that. Influence. Involved but not responsible, an
exquisite position.
When it isn't easy and straightforward for a bunch of people to get
affordable health care someone has to make it so. Or we can watch a
bunch of people die due to a lack of medical care. Hospitals in the
U.S. are facing bankruptcy due to an inability of out of work people to
pay their bills.
Let me do a quick check... Pay attention, this is important.
Employer insurance: $300/mo single person.
https://www.ehealthinsurance.com/ ~$70/mo. And that's for someone who
smokes. Ton's of choices.
The people who make the least money, will not have access to affordable
health insurance options unless it comes on their tax refund check. How
do you reach these people and let them know they're getting ripped off
by their company or soda jerk?
They fall on mercy of society when illness/injury strikes. The
wealthiest people pay the least for the most.
For someone without a credit card or bank account? There IS no health
insurance. PERIOD. Think about it.

I just think it is ironic that dubya makes such a big deal about religion and yet his own daughters are thumbing their noses at him continuously. I like it that it is embarrassing for him.
By 21 I was a teetotler. I got all my major drinking done by the time I was just a little older then 20. The period between 18-20 wasn't so great. Although I never went on anything that could even remotely be called a bender, my biggest problem was that once I got started drinking some night with my Navy buddies, I didn't know how to stop until the EM club closed at 1AM. My memories of 30 years ago are not perfect any more, but I don't think there were many times when I did this more then two nights in a row because I was on a rotating watch rota and the only time I had an opportunity to drink was between watch strings and even then I never got started any earlier then 7pm. Shortly after turning 20 I became a dedicated religious nutter and bible thumper and it was years before I had anything to drink except a very rare glass of sherry and it wasn't until after I started college that I allowed myself an occasional beer and only many years after that did I decide that I'd have a mixed drink once in a while. My early attraction to alcohol was nothing more then being out of the watchful eye of my parents and not having anyone tell me I couldn't drink and I misused that freedom. These days I'm so scared of even the possibility of being caught DUI that the only time I'll have a drink other then an occasional beer at home is when I know for certain that there isn't any chance that I will have to drive within the next eight hours.
Why did you think I wouldn't send Dean's son to prison? Heck I would have sent the Bush daughters to prison for trying to purchase alcohol underage. I would have even sent them to the same prisons listed above. Then they would find out what it really means to be a party girl.
As for Chelsea, she traded her father's name for a lucrative job even though she has no qualifications. I bet she doesn't show up for work very often. I consider her to be pretty much of a sleaze bag just like her mother.

Noble sentiments, indeed...
Unfortunately, wishing doesn't make it so.
The fact is that the press was, in the main, very conscious of honoring the
Clinton's request to steer clear of stories about Chelsea.
That same courtesy was not extended to the Bush twins.
Partisan politics? Most likely.
By the way, here's an interesting quote uttered yesterday by Mr Dean:
"It is a bit of a club down there. The Democratic Party, all the candidates
from Washington, they all know each other, they all move in the same
circles, and what I'm doing is breaking into the country club."
I guess the nut didn't fall that far from the tree...
I think to see things this way you have to magnify the reporting on the Bush
twins greatly. And to say the press ever extended something like courtesy
to the Clintons is a stretch of the imagination so wide I didn't think even
you were capable of it. So, has the press made hay of Jeb Bush's daughter?
> I think to see things this way you have to magnify the reporting on the

By 9. August 2001, a Lexis-Nexis search showed 629 stories about Jenna Bush
who was *cited* but never *arrested* for obtaining alcohol with a false
ID...

Spare us the ersatz "morale outrage"...
The *courtesy* I am specifically referring to was the Clinton's wish /
directive
to the US press that any stories about Chelsea were strictly "off limits".
If you can demonstrate that the US press did not extend that courtesy, I
invite you
to present your case.
I seem to recall a particular instance where the editor of the Stanford
newspaper
ran afoul of the school authorities after writing about Chelsea...and the
speculation
was that it was the result of a call from the White House....

In general, it has been. The Bush twins show up in the tabloids and on
Page Six every now and then, as did Chelsea. The Bush Twins got
widespread attention from the mainstream media only when the police got
involved.

Not quite. Lauren (the model) is Neil's daughter, not Jeb's.

Crikey (Now that Andy taught me that new word)! What do I have to do to
get a rise from you people? I put the twins in Folsom prison as party
girls and no one even protested. Does this mean I actually got one right
this time? I'm sure the first couple dozen prisoners would like it.
How about if I advocate giving Dean's son the last injection he'll ever
remember for his heist?
