Ihave. Tons of them, within seconds of each other, logged in Event Viewer>Applications and Services>Microsoft>Windows>CodeIntegrity>Operational. All since I, first upgraded from W11 22h2 to 22h2 and then clean installed W11 22H2. I have twice tried the usual: a) Completely uninstall and reinstall Bitdefender Internet Security (always last version from Bitdefender Central); and b) contacted Bitdefender Support (via email from the Support page). The first contact I received, as always a prompt response; however, they said: "The errors are part of the operating system security and are not a thing of concern. Microsoft doesn't have a correct validation for 3rd party AMSI libraries yet." Then I contacted Microsoft Windows Tech support via Chat and even let them do remote assistance on my PC and was told that Application Providers are responsible to make sure that their products meet Microsoft Windows security standards, among them: signing level requirements. I have contacted them by mail via support page and asked them for help. It seems to me that all they (Bitdefender) need to do is make sure that the "antimalware_provider64.dll" does that. I'm now waiting for a rsponse.

Basically it seems like BitDefender needs to sign the DLL with a specific type of certificate that does Authenticode + WHQL, which will satisfy the more strict code integrity policy that is throwing the error. I believe that would eliminate the errors, then the user could change the registry key to also enforce it if they want.

I would very much appreciate if this was addressed because it would make it easier to set up Windows Defender Application Control, because right now this error is filling up my event log with a new error every second.

The development of Bitdefender Security by Bitdefender prompted the latest creation of antimalware_provider64.dll. It is also known as a AMSI provider file (file extension DLL), which is classified as a type of Win64 DLL (Dynamic link library) file.

antimalware_provider64.dll was first released in the Windows 10 Operating System on 12/03/2018 with BitDefender 1.0.14.74. This file version is latest update offered from Bitdefender, according to our records.

This article discusses complete file details, DLL file troubleshooting instructions for problems with antimalware_provider64.dll, and a comprehensive set of free downloads for every file version that has been catalogued by our team.

antimalware_provider64.dll is considered a type of Dynamic Link Library (DLL) file. Dynamic Link Library files, like antimalware_provider64.dll, are essentially a "guide book" that stores information and instructions for executable (EXE) files - like certutil.exe - to follow. These files were created so that multiple programs (eg. BitDefender) could share the same antimalware_provider64.dll file, saving valuable memory allocation, therefore making your computer run more efficiently.

Unfortunately, what makes DLL files so convenient and efficient, also makes them extremely vulnerable to problems. If something happens to a shared DLL file, either it goes missing or gets corrupted in some way, it can generate a "runtime" error message. Runtime is pretty self-explanatory; it means that these errors are triggered when antimalware_provider64.dll is attempted to be loaded either when BitDefender is starting up, or in some cases already running. Some of the most common antimalware_provider64.dll errors include:

Your antimalware_provider64.dll file could be missing due to accidental deletion, uninstalled as a shared file of another program (shared with BitDefender), or deleted by a malware infection. Furthermore, antimalware_provider64.dll file corruption could be caused from a power outage when loading BitDefender, system crash while loading antimalware_provider64.dll, bad sectors on your storage media (usually your primary hard drive), or quite commonly, a malware infection. Thus, it's critical to make sure your anti-virus is kept up-to-date and scanning regularly.

If you're encountering one of the error messages above, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve your antimalware_provider64.dll issue. These troubleshooting steps are listed in the recommended order of execution.

GEEK TIP : We must emphasize that reinstalling Windows will be a very time-consuming and advanced task to resolve antimalware_provider64.dll problems. To avoid data loss, you must be sure that you have backed-up all of your important documents, pictures, software installers, and other personal data before beginning the process. If you are not currently backing up your data, you need to do so immediately.

CAUTION : We strongly advise against downloading and copying antimalware_provider64.dll to your appropriate Windows system directory. Bitdefender typically does not release BitDefender DLL files for download because they are bundled together inside of a software installer. The installer's task is to ensure that all correct verifications have been made before installing and placing antimalware_provider64.dll and all other DLL files for BitDefender. An incorrectly installed DLL file may create system instability and could cause your program or operating system to stop functioning altogether. Proceed with caution.
