We can get Netflix on our Bush 24" TV and on our Samsung Qled tv in living room but today we can no longer get Netflix on our bedroom tv. A message repeatedly comes up "this device is not compatible with Netflix. Go to "www.netflix.com/compatibledevices" but this is of no help. Our Netflix subscription is changing on the 2nd June but why is there suddenly a problem now? Anyone got any ideas of how we can restore compatibility? I've tried software update, checked there is good internet connection (20Mbs), unplugged the set for 10mins. Online holds out possibility of downloading "Firmware" on to USB flash drive then plugging in to tv USB socket to update but I can't find this "firmware" anywhere on Samsung site. Please can you help!
If you your TV states the app is no longer supported Netfliix has stopped updating the app for your TV. Only way to get it too work again would be to get a Chromecast, Amazon, Roku streaming device and plug it into your HDMI port on your tv it states on Netflix's website that you posted
We buy two AirPods Pro 2 . Before we had 2 Pros Gen1 . Working on all 3 Samsung TVs 2020/2021 . Now the Gen2 will not working on any Samsung TV - Connecting okay - Volume Control Okay - But no Sound - try everything - not working. Just a millsecond sound scratch after connecting then silence .....
I was using air pod gen 3 no problem with Samsung tv. Just upgraded to AirPods Pro gen 2 and they work but lose sound if fast forward/rewind/skip and when each episode finishes. Need to go into tv menu where it shows AirPods are still connected, have to disconnect, and reconnect each time. Most frustrating.
Today used them with YouTube app on the tv. If I fast forward or scroll through a video the sound goes choppy and then drops. Tv says they are still connected though. Have tried volume on the stalks etc.
The crazy thing is my AirPods are named simply 'Geno' but when they are seen and connect to the Samsung TV the TV calls them 'Geno - Find My' without me choosing this or having any way to do anything differently. I have factory reset my TV 3 times and the AirPods about 5 times.
I have a suspicion that the AirPods are transmitting on 2 channels, one for sound which has high bandwidth for all data it needs, and a low bandwidth for the Find My function to work, to find them and make a siren sound. This would make sense to me as the previous versions didn't have the siren/sound function in Find My. It explains the poor quality sound and the name the TV gives it. I think the TV is connecting therefore to the Find My channel and not seeing the actual audio channel... does that make sense?
My update: Samsung have reviewed this extensively and advised it cannot be a TV issue. I have updated to the latest firmware version for my TV. I have also updated my AirPods to the latest Firmware: 5B58. Apple are reviewing still but keep advising that this is not an Apple issue because the AirPods work with my iPhone! Seems the issue is not going to be resolved if neither Apple nor TV manufacturers will resolve it...
My problem is exactly the same. Air Pods Gen 2 Firmware: Vsn 5A374 and Case 51.11.1. I tried hardware reset. No luck. Airpods work with iPhone without issue. Air Pods Gen 1 worked fine with Samsung Smart TV.
Hey, I just got mine to work on my Samsung (was having this problem too - no sound or very choppy sound if it did manage to come through for a bit) by changing the audio format from Bitstream to PCM. Hope it works for others.
Firmware upgrade to 5B58 did NOT resolve my problem of brand new airpod pro gen 2 not carrying sound from my Sony NW-A55 digital music player. Still silent, and apple support absolutely zero help. Worst apple experience ever.
I just spoke with Samsung support. As my Q90 TV has Bluetooth Version 5.2 and the Apple AirPods Pro 2 have Bluetooth Version 5.3, it will not work seamlessly as it does for Apple AirPods Pro 1, which has a Bluetooth Version 5.0.
The same is happening on my Toshiba smart tv. AirPods Pro 2 connect to tv and I get about 2 seconds of sound then nothingbut they are still coneected. 1st gen AirPods Pro work perfectly well. Same happens with latest firmware version as well. 1st gen AirPods Pro work perfectly.
I am trying to get amazon to work with my (model number UN46F6400AF) 46" Series 6 TV added to smart things so I can turn it on and off with alexa devices (smart show 5, show 8, pixel 6). When I go to add the device to smart things under the Samsung products listed I cannot find my TV. My tv is wireless ready, connected, and samsung account is logged in. My tv has something called Smart Hub but I cannot search the Samsung apps and find SmartThings or Amazon Alexa. My firmware is on the latest update version. Can anyone help me? I just want to be able to use Alexa to turn my TV on and off, then display my Wyze cam whenever a person is detected. Not asking much. It already works with my FireTV
Your post did not clearly indicate if you have a Smart Things Hub for z-wave device control, but if you have a z-wave hub, then a Z-Wave Smart Plug would give the ability for on/off power controls. Alternatively (no hub), The resolution might be locating a preferred Wifi Smart Plug that works with the Amazon Alexa voice assistant to gain on/off functions of the TV using the Smart Plug.
But if you already have the fire TV stick and like it, you can just add an IR blaster which works with smartthings. I myself use the SwitchBot mini hub for this. The manufacturer has provided a smartthings integration which is a little clunky but does work. Basically you have to set up a scene in the SwitchBot app that will turn the TV on or off and then you can access that scene in Smartthings like it was a switch.
thread Hijack: I want to stick with Samsung to replace a dated Samsung 46" TV that will support NETFLIX and Amazon Prime. It has to be a 46" TV because it is behind a 2 way flush mounted mirror and inside a recess to make the mirror look like, err, a mirror. It is not a Mirror TV. Every search i am doing brings ups up yeah no problem mate come here & get your 46" Samsung TV but when you do that it returns every size except 46". All i want is a Samsung 46" TV that will give NETFLIX & Prime, not being able to find a NEW Samsung 46" TV is disturbing
You might get a faster response if you ask on the official Samsung television forum. It has Samsung employees responding, so they might know. (This forum is for customers to help other customers with the home automation platform.)
I cannot scroll down the main menu, or through episode lists. Generally the standard mygica remote is terrible. I tried using a wireless mouse - cant get that to work either. The keyboard is fine, but not the mouse.
I have the same issue, I don't have a mouse though just the remote, I have downloaded programs but can't get to the bottom of the list to watch them, I am at the point of taking the product back to the store for a refund as it seems there is not much help here either.
If you press the little brush icon in the lower left corner of the interface (launcher) before launching NetFlix it usually works just fine for me. It appears some background app steals the scroll input for its use.
I have the same problem, I can't scroll through the main menu. I can scroll through the category menus but not through the home menu. I have a mouse but it's range is terrible and even then if I get in range I can only scroll up and down with it, not sideways.
I use Kodi SM8 with remote control to watch on tv. I downloaded Kodi app for Android on my cell phone to see if I could find a way to add a scrollbar on the side in Netflix and use my cell phone to manoeuver instead of the remote. I also cannot get down to all the episodes of a series to download on my Kodi box.
Netflix Horizontal and Vertical Scroll Fix! Insert a PC Mouse into the USB port of your Android box or Smart TV. Place the Mouse cursor over one of the Movie previews, click and keep holding down the left mouse button while drag the list to the left. Repeat to scroll through the list horizontally. For vertical scroll use the scroll wheel on the mouse.
