Pandoc understands a number of useful markdown syntax extensions, including document metadata (title, author, date); footnotes; tables; definition lists; superscript and subscript; strikeout; enhanced ordered lists (start number and numbering style are significant); running example lists; delimited code blocks with syntax highlighting; smart quotes, dashes, and ellipses; markdown inside HTML blocks; and inline LaTeX. If strict markdown compatibility is desired, all of these extensions can be turned off.
LaTeX math (and even macros) can be used in markdown documents. Several different methods of rendering math in HTML are provided, including MathJax and translation to MathML. LaTeX math is converted (as needed by the output format) to unicode, native Word equation objects, MathML, or roff eqn.
and pandoc will convert it into a properly formatted citation using any of hundreds of CSL styles (including footnote styles, numerical styles, and author-date styles), and add a properly formatted bibliography at the end of the document. The bibliographic data may be in BibTeX, BibLaTeX, CSL JSON, or CSL YAML format. Citations work in every output format.
Effective October 1, 2019, Microsoft licensing terms for dedicated hosted cloud services have been revised. As a result, we have received numerous inquiries from those who planned to use on-premise licensing in a shared cloud environment regarding the operation of their document management systems, particularly how to convert documents.

Monitor directories for new files and then let the program automatically convert new documents to a destination folder. This enables you to convert documents in bulk by dragging and dropping files into directories. Supported formats (partial list) shown below.
MS-Word documents that contain this rare field code cause the converter to time out. To quickly check if a document contains such a field code, press CTRL-A to select all text and then press F9 to refresh all field codes. If a dialog box shows up asking for text to be entered then your document contains an ASK field code. Please remove it before conversion.
That app doesn't seem to work properly. It converts the files, however when I go to open 1 of those in Word, it says that there's lost text in the document or a similar error message & I only end up displaying a blank document. I'm using Microsoft Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2302 Build 16.0.16130.20186) 64-bit & my files are just fine, so I know it's not related to Word or my files but rather that converter app you pointed out. Also that has an annoying dialog box that tells about their other solutions that pops up every single time I exit the program. Doesn't seem to be a way to turn that off, so another reason to avoid using it. (like shareware to me in that sense) I think maybe there's a better solution out there, although it may not be free. I don't have as many .doc formatted files, but there's more than I can handle by manually converting them 1 by 1. Will look into this & post a reply if I find a better solution...
The service can also be used to convert inaccessible documents such as image-only PDF files, JPG pictures and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into more accessible and less tricky formats. It takes about 5 minutes for the file to be converted into an accessible format and emailed. There is a 60MB size limit for each file.
I am not sure if opening the image in the free Adobe DNG converter and resaving it would allow DT to process the image while you wait for camera support. I have often used the Adobe DNG converter to put unsupported raw files into programs including Lightroom and DT.
The image quality from this converter beats LR but the rendering engine is so painfully SLOW it makes it useless. Takes forever to redraw an image after the smallest correction. The raw file has to be re-drawn all the time. They really need to work on previews or something in that area.
Then I want to use the document API conversion to convert this file to a PDF. But when I try it, the converter seems to have a problem with downloading this file to convert it to pdf.
If I use a public free URL (IE a file stored in a public URL), it works without problem
