Dear all,

This thread is for discussing the main focus of 2011's DC. So far, we
have obtained some ideas:
- Doing laundry
- Cleaning
Both ideas are interesting to me as research topics and applications.
Do you have any other ideas? Before the TC voting, I would like to
cover each topic in depth.

Btw, we had the following DC themes in the previous competitions.
2010: In the restaurant
2009: In the bar
2008: Robot Chef

Hi all,

Oops, I had missed the existing DC thread. As far as I understand, the
main focus is on:
- Cleaning (Doing laundry is included)

Hi,

I worked on some versions already for the DC, and hope to commit a
version tomorrow.

Cheers,

Hi,

I have a question about the robot-robot interaction in the Demo
Challenge: Is it allowed to use two robots from one team in the arena
or is it just
possible if they come from two different teams?

Best regards,
Susi

Hi Susanne,

You can use two robots from the same team, but please remember that in
this case you cannot obtain the bonus points (500 points).

Hi,

During the demo challenge it is allowed to use two robots. But for the
inter-team points the following is stated in the rule book:

A maximum bonus of 500 points, on top of the 1500 points, can be earned
if two (or more) robots from two different teams demonstrate successful
collaboration, thus successful robot-robot interaction.

So it is allowed, but you will not get the extra points.

Tijn
