What is the best hostel you've ever stayed at, and why?

I have never officially stayed in a hostel, however I have been in a few. My favorite is the Pacific Tradewinds Hostel in San Francisco because it is located in the heart of the financial district and has a rooftop with a fantastic view of the city's downtown buildings.
