Dear AthensGaBicycling riders,
The countdown is nearly over. Five days until the beginning of Athens Bike Week and the group evening rides! In addition to the people who chose to ride all winter, rumor has it that some individuals have been training in their homes to emerge next week on the group riding stage! Without further ado, here is the evening ride schedule for next week:
Evening ride schedule starting March 9, 2015 and then repeating each week:

Thursday
6:00pm Gazelle=15-17mph from Whit Davis Elementary. New for 2015: The ride route has changed, the ride now avoids most (major) hills and once in Winterville, the route takes Parkview Rd to Hargrove Lake Rd to eliminate riding with the heavier traffic on Moores Grove Rd.
6:00pm Cheetah=20+mph from Georgia Cycle Sport on Baxter.
One last note: Sunset is 7:36pm on Monday, March 9. With this in mind, the rides are all planning to leave at the scheduled time to ensure rider safety. In consideration of others, please be prepared to sprint the first part of the ride to catch the peloton, if you arrive late.
Good riding!
Joe
AGB Tip of the Week:
Another rumor that is going around Athens is that a few riders have procrastinated and have not yet taken their bikes into the shop for needed repairs before Athens Bike Week begins next Monday. You are in luck! The bikes shops are ready for you, just stop at your favorite shop and they will have you all set! Okay, actually, make sure you bring your bike to the shop and they will have your bike all set!
