On WinXP SP3 machine i say: "apdlg tk" and "apdir x".

I can not select Scratch directory for audio using dialog boxes. A
window appears, I click "save", so what? .. athena does not perceive
it as something that I want to select the directory ... dialog box
remains on the screen ...

thanks for your message.

with the tk dialogs, you should be able to select a directory to use as your scratch directory. when you click 'save,' it should store that directory. you can then view all configuration options with the command 'ausys'.

however, i have not recently tested tk dialogs on all windows platforms with all pythons.

if this does not work, you can always set your scratch directory from the command line interface, providing a complete path to the directory:

pi{}ti{} :: apdir x /Volumes/xdisc/_scratch
user fpScratchDir directory set to /Volumes/xdisc/_scratch.

Really, it does not work!..

My mistake: buttons are "Open" (not "Save"...) and "Cancel".

It, of course, works...

I enjoy working with the command line, in fact, is one of the reasons
that I started to learn athenaCL.

And when I started to customize the system, it seemed to me that the
dialog boxes for folders and files more conveniently. So I configured
the dialogue option "tk windows" for the file paths ...

But after reading your answer I am still a little practice and I think
that text dialogues for files and directories even better than
windows :) ...

Just in case I want to note, though, perhaps, work with windows is not
important, but on my PC, it like does not work ...
