It does not cover such a situation as we are faced with now: a mentally deficient and dangerous president and both Houses of Congress with a majority of the same party that acts only for the mentally deficient president and refuses to act for the people. In addition we have a Supreme Court that also has a majority of the same party as the President, acts solely for the party and the President and will not act for the people. The Constitution does not address such a horrific and destructive situation that destroys democracy. The three branches of government are supposed to oversee each other but all are beholden to the President, apparently no matter what he does. What do we do with such a fundamentally flawed Constitution that ties the hands of the people and allows the destruction of democracy? Do we have any recourse but to watch the government--supposedly of, for and by the people--self destruct before our eyes.
Yes, we can vote for Democrats in the midterms, but will it be enough? Will it be soon enough? A tremendous amount of destruction can be done before a new Congress can get anything done and we'd still have the MAGA Supreme Court to deal with.
