Facebook pages using FBML

From what I've read recently : boxes went away (as you discovered) and tabs are going away very soon -- but only for personal accounts. According to what I've read tabs are not going away for Pages (and you can still choose the content of a tab to display as the launch/splash page if people are not logged in which is kind of nice)

Static FBML is still supported by Facebook for pages and is even encouraged by Facebook as a means of customizing a page.
I do really wish they would stop blocking includes and embed in Facebook, but I can understand why they want to control 3rd party stuff in FB.

Groups, well, that is a whole another can of worms. There are now 2 different kinds of groups in facebook (!)

i used to have a static fbml box on our page, but facebook took it away when they restricted 3rd party applications. if someone knows of an alternative, let me know. i used it to put links to related groups/pages and links to our main web site pages.
