Helloguys,

I've a Dell g15 5520, with only 8Gb ddr5 4800mhz RAM, so i've buyed an extra memory, a Kingston Fury impact with the same specs, but it seens that she came with a problem because i get a black screen qhen a plug it, I've made the follow teste and have the follow results:

- New memory on Slot A, Slot B empty - black screen

- New Memory on Slot B, Slot A empty - black screen

- Original Memory on slot A, new memory on slot B - Black screen

- Original Memory on slot B, new memory on slot A - Black screen

- Original Memory on Slot A, slot B empty - Laptop works fine!

- Original Memory on Slot B, slot A empty - Black Screen (that's what bugging me)

I've already contact the seller to request the warranty for the New Memory, but i'm trying to understand why the Original memory doesn't work on slot B?

Those diagnostic lights are significant.

Two amber lights followed by four white indicates "Memory or RAM failure".

Two amber lights followed by five white indicates "Invalid memory installed".

I haven't checked, but the Kingston Fury's timings may be too aggressive for your laptop. Generally the most compatible RAM with Dell laptops is Crucial. Here are Crucial RAM modules that they guarantee to be compatible with your laptop.

Whenever touching components or working inside a computer, wear a grounded wrist strap, also called anti-static wrist strap, ESD wrist strap, or ground bracelet. It's a cheap and sensible precaution. Rest the laptop on an anti-static mat or at least a reasonable alternative such as corrugated cardboard.

Update: I've tryed your steps, but the slob B still doesn't work, and i notice that when the original memory are in slot b the laptop flashes 2 yellow lights and 4 white lights, i've also tryed to clean and do the same steps but with the kingston memory in slot A, them the laptop have flashed 2 yellow and 5 white lights! i've double count the light to be sure!

In the and i put everything back to normal and the laptop took a long time, flashed 2 times the lights, i dont remenber the color and then turn off, so in this moment i almost have a heart attack HAHAHA, then he turn on again and act like nothing happened!
