I was Married to a wonderful woman for forty years and lost her in a tragic accident last August. For a big part of those years for birth days and anniversaries I would purchase a precious moment figures and we have a curious full of memories. When I moved from Tennessee to be close to my son I had them all shipped to me and that one was broken in shipping and I wanted to replace it because it meant a lot to both of us. Thanks for shipping a new one to me in one piece. Peter
I have been trying to find the red nose clowns and this one is the best of them !! Thank you to Retired PM's for keeping this in new condition and shipping it safely packed and quickly ! I wish you had the last one I am searching for !! I will definitely watch your site just in case !
What do you think of when you hear the company, Precious Moments? I think of how beloved their figurines are and how meaningful they are to the people who have them. The little faces of the sweet characters, whether they're from the birthday train, celebrating a wedding, or just because, they just warm the heart. I was so delighted to be able to share my memories of having them and collecting them since the early 1990s for this review.
The year I was married to my first husband, we found a wonderful tree topper that was a Precious Moments angel. We used her for years until I passed her on to my daughter. My mom got in on the action and started doing a collection of yearly mini plates, bells, and figurines for each of my daughters. Let me just say, they have quite the collection. Then my former mother-in-law started collecting them for me and giving me a new figurine every Christmas!
This is the Precious Moments BIG 40th Anniversary! I feel like they've been around for a lot longer. They're such collectors items that you'd think they were celebrating 100 yrs. It's wonderful being able to celebrate such a wonderful anniversary with them!
See what I mean? Everyone knows how sweet these figurines are and they make the sweetest gift! When I had the opportunity to do a review, I wasn't sure what I wanted to review, that would be meaningful to me. At first I was going to do this adorable wedding figurine for my daughter's upcoming wedding, but since I already had a gift for her, I decided to get something for myself.
I love my garden. It's my place of peacefulness and relaxation. I spend most of my time in the garden reflecting and talking to the Lord. Sometimes I try to solve all of the problems in my life as I pull the weeds in my garden.
One thing lacking in my garden is anything decorative. Up until now I didn't have any statues or garden decor. If I was going to add something, I wanted it to "add" to it, not distract from it. Yea I'm a bit picky about my flower garden. HA! After searching for the perfect way to start, I found the "Faithful and Feathered Feeder", Bird Feeder.
The bird feeder has just the right spot at the corner of the garden. Earlier this spring I had to pull out a plant that didn't make it this year. That left the corner of my garden open with just dirt. There wasn't a good transition and this filled that spot wonderfully!
Watching birds come to a feeder is incredibly relaxing so having this sweet feeder included in my garden brings a smile to my face every time I see it. Now, the only thing I have to do is add sand so that it'll be sturdy in case some rogue squirrels try to get to the bird seed.
We'll have to figure out a way to drain any water that might collect from rain. I was talking to the hubby about it and he has some ideas on how to do that. All I need is seed all over the ground. lol I'm looking forward to enjoying this bird feeder in the years to come!
Today, Pat and I are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. When you start out as a young married couple, your 25th anniversary seems so far away. But, as many people told me as a young bride, time flies when you are having fun and it sure does.
I shared HERE, several years ago, the story of how Pat and I met. AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) will always hold a special place in my heart because it brought us together. Then after finally meeting in person, we were married one year after we met, March 27, 1999.
We were engaged on August 1, 1998, at the Precious Moments Wedding Chapel in Carthage, Missouri. After touring the Precious Moments attraction, Pat popped the question in the center of the chapel and it was so romantic.
On our wedding day, we were blessed with a gorgeous spring day in March. The sun was shining and a nice breeze was blowing. We chose our siblings, family, and friends to stand up with us. Pat even chose his sister, Julie, as his best person. That was unheard of then but made the day even more special. The day was such a blur, but also so much fun.
When reminiscing about my childhood, I recall a time when I only wanted to be a real-life GI Joe. Looking back, I can still see myself in those army clothes through a few old photographs. Another memory that stands out is riding my beloved banana seat 3-speed bicycle with a sissy bar, a feeling of freedom that I wish I had more pictures to relive today. And then there was my passion for chess; being part of a chess club was a defining moment for me, even if there was just one snapshot of me playing the game.
We all share this tendency to immerse ourselves in various pursuits, discovering what truly resonates with us. Though not all hobbies and interests stick with us throughout life, they undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on our journey.
Recently, my friend John Payne, a talented photographer based in Morganton, North Carolina, specializes in capturing the essence of high school seniors, creating beautiful portraits that capture the spirit of this pivotal phase. Interestingly, some of her younger dance mates desired similar photos after photographing a young dancer. John wisely responded that while the girls may still be dancing, their interests could change as they grow older.
This simple statement struck a chord with me. Why postpone capturing these precious moments, especially for our children? As parents, we all know the bittersweet feeling of an empty nest when our children leave home to embark on their adventures. During such moments, we often find ourselves wishing for more photos and memorabilia to surround us, reminding us of the joyous times when our children were still living under our roof.
I am reminded of my mentor and friend, Don Rutledge, who faced the challenges of dementia. As his memory faded, he found solace in revisiting the memories I had captured for him through my thesis. Those pictures and stories provided a lifeline to a life well-lived, bringing moments of clarity and comfort to him during his harrowing journey.
Every love story is unique, and this one was no exception. Prianca and Anit, a couple from the USA, decided to mark their first wedding anniversary with a memorable trip to Montreal, Quebec. It was their first time in this beautiful city, and their enthusiasm was palpable from the moment we met.
I'm Brian, the photographer behind French Grey Photography. Based in Montreal Canada, I capture the beauty and emotion of life's special moments. From romantic wedding shoots to cherished family portraits, I create timeless images with meticulous attention to detail. Let me to tell your unique story through the art of photography. Let's capture the essence of your most cherished moments together, creating images that will be treasured for a lifetime.
