Extract downloaded zip file to arbitrary directory and execute clumsy.exe. clumsy is alpha quality software and does have some gotchas. Be sure to read the manual page before using it.
Here's a list of things used to build clumsy.
Leveraging the awesome WinDivert library, clumsy stops living network packets and capture them, lag/drop/tamper/.. the packets on demand, then send them away. Whether you want to track down weird bugs related to broken network, or evaluate your application on poor connections, clumsy will come in handy:
Here's a demo of clumsy working on a netcat listening for localhost udp packets, illustrated as animated gif.
If you figured out what's going on then go to Download page and give it a try! If not, scroll on:
clumsy will choose which packets to capture by given filter, in which in can specify whether it's inbound or outbound, tcp or udp, socket port or ip, or a logical combination of many of those criterias. When started clumsy will only capture packets based on the filter, leaving others untouched.
Though nowadays it seems everybody have high speed broadband Internet connection, it's still important to face the fact that network transportation isn't always reliable. You don't want a duplicated UDP packet to crash your application. Properly handle this usually requires adding more code in their projects, and it's not always easy nor possible. Hopefully clumsy can provide an easy and painless (though suboptimal) option to do this for busy developers.
My motivations are that I get 30+ extra ping to esea servers compared to any other server so I'd like to be able to just increase my ping outside of matches to get some sort of consistency. I gave up on trying to decrease ping on esea servers.
You could try a VPN service like torguard and try to connect closer to ESEA servers, which can potentially decrease your ping, or if that doesn't work, you can try to connect through a server that's actually further than what would normally
Hello, Perhaps this question had been asked before but I've been searching and could not find answer. I performed a ping from wifi client (laptop) and captured raw 802.11 packet via wireless nic interface. I used to WS to decode the packet and was able to see ping request clearly (802.11header, LLC, IP, ICMP, etc):
However it seemed that WS cannot decoded a ping reply when it is an 802.11 QoS data packet. Here I noticed the different is that the ping reply does have an extra QoS header and LLC had been decoded as WEP (?). Subsequently WS could not decoded the rest as a ping packet. Please let me know how to resolve this issue... Thanks in advance (btw, I am using WS Version 1.10.3 (SVN Rev 53022 from /trunk-1.10) and please pardon my (clumsy) drawing :))
Try to keep the entire formation taut. The string the yoyo is using to freely bounce is already loose because of the magic knot, so you can keep just focus on keeping the formation between your TH/NTH tight.
Edit: Others have noticed that you can't limit bandwidth with clumsy, and that's true. You can only add Latency and a couple of other network related errors. This will disqualify this answer as a valid answer to the question, however since I had good use for it when I wanted to simulate a bad network so I'll leave it here as long as it has > 0 votes or similar.
Yeah, they have a nice chocolate brown patina, will most likely leave them that way. Got the reply from Ping and they were mfg'd in 86. They also stated that they can't/won't re-serialize, but will gladly replace with a new club with the same serial number at a good price I imagine. Replacement club with shipping, most likely would cost just as much as I paid for the entire set. Thanks but no thanks Ping...............
Not sure if anyone is as clumsy as me and manages to have a failing powershell script for over four months before noticing it, but better safe than sorry, so here is a quick and easy way to self-test your scripts.
Sal is the big loser. His punishment is to be a clumsy waiter. First with alcohol impaired vision goggles. He spills water everywhere unable to hit the glass. They have him deliver a full tray of water glasses. He spills and misses. They turn him around in a chair til he is dizzy and hand him a tray with drinks and food. He crashes into a table spilling everything. He then takes a spin on a sit and spin this time he crashes into a wall. He loses a shoe and hurts his arm before the boys call it quits.
