Hello Agent Substrate Community,

We are thrilled to announce our first in-person developers summit for Agent Substrate, the open-source system designed for efficient scaling of agentic workloads. As the project continues to evolve, we want to bring our contributors together to discuss the future of the platform, from its low-opinion runtime environment to its high-density actor multiplexing capabilities.

If there are specific technical challenges, features, or architectural designs you would like to explore, please submit your proposals in the community document:

How to Attend

All contributors are invited to participate. To ensure we have an accurate headcount for logistics and catering, please follow these steps:

  1. Join the Developer Group: The summit document is restricted to members of the ate...@googlegroups.com group. Please ensure you have joined the group to gain access.

  2. RSVP: Add your name and details to the Participants table within the summit document.

Logistics and Travel

  • Venue: Google Kirkland Office

  • Catering: Breakfast and lunch will be provided on-site for both days.

  • Expenses: Please note that while the summit itself is free, participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, including commute and hotel accommodations.

We look forward to collaborating in person and accelerating the development of the Agent Substrate ecosystem.

Best regards,

Dmitry Berkovich

Hi all,

We are excited to welcome the 40+ contributors who have registered for the summit next week.

We have proposed a tentative agenda for the first day, which you can view here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14QECgLl9GCGWH7hetF4gHwFbAXClJmnFiMgg0eWEUV4/edit?tab=t.z4co4hto79k3

The event will follow an Unconference style format. Here is the schedule for Day 1:

  - Welcome Session (30 mins): Opening remarks and introductions.
  - Idea Generation (30 mins): We will use sticky notes to collect discussion topics and organize them into logical tracks (e.g., API machinery, security, networking, etc..).
  - Session 1 (50 mins): Parallel discussions across 3 different rooms.
  - Early Lunch: Scheduled early to beat the kitchen traffic.
  - Sessions 2–5: Four additional 50-minute sessions running in parallel across 3 tracks.
  - Day 1 Recap: At the end of the day, we will review the discussions and collaboratively decide the agenda for Day 2 (agentic style).

Thanks,
Dima
