I'm sharing a request msg by current batch ECS students. Its regarding Promoting/Increasing Awareness ECS course.

Hello Sir/Ma’am,

I am student from Embedded Controls and Software, IIT Kharagpur. We have been currently working on how to increase the awareness regarding our discipline on the online media. For this, currently we have taken these steps:

1. Created Facebook page, to publicly address queries by students and professors

2. Answering many questions on Quora, and grouping similar ones

3. Creating an unofficial website (blogging type), where we can update some technical and non-technical information regarding this course

As an alumnus of this course, your valuable feedback and experiences matter a lot to us, and for this discipline as well in general. We have planned that, it’d be great if you could help us by providing us your experience and some feedback regarding this course. We would like to publish it on our Facebook page and our website.

Additionally, these are some of the general concerns that we had come up with, which students may have while joining this course:

• How has been the personal experience of passed out students & alumnus of this course, and where they are currently

• What is difference between Embedded Control Systems and Embedded Systems

• What is the current scope of this discipline and what do students study

• Which are the relevant companies and working domain to this specialization

• What are the pre-requisites for this course and what should I know before joining it

Although, the above is not an exhaustive list by any means, and we are looking forward to your additions, in any ways that you’d like.

You can reply to us with your feedback, experiences, articles and guidelines etc. in many ways. We will feature this on our official ATDC website, Facebook page and unofficial website maintained by students. Some ways which will be preferable for us are:

• A textual reply, in-mail or as an attachment.

• You can share following relevant links with us, of your:

  • Quora answer

  • Blogs or articles

  • Facebook posts

  • Any other online publications/post

• An audio or video recording (if that’s more convenient)

• A direct conversation with our current batch of students, via Skype, WebX. Cellular or any other preferred medium
