Someone mentioned realism in another thread and it got me thinking.
There is no way a real controller would control thousands of aircraft
in one shift. They only plug in for about two hours before going for a
break. Is there any chance of another high score table, but with the
total time (including pausing the game) restricted to two hours?

Yeah, we wouldn't be doing nearly the amount of workload that this
game induces. However, we also wouldn't be dealing with approach and
departures at a busy airport either. I wonder if there would be a
massive difference between scores in a two hour game. I'm guessing the
score would be somewhere around the 100-170 total movements mark. But
that's just an estimate. It could be interesting though.

I agree wholeheartedly! Just because some have the circumstances to
play endlessly, doesn't mean they are the "best controllers". And
while most of the top scores do favor the more challenging airports,
with an unlimited time frame, it is possible for some to get first
place with an easy airport. For example, if one played Grand Rapids
(GRR) continuously for 236 HOURS, without a violation, they could get
first place. The way it is now, I say, more power to you. For me
though, I look at quality over quantity. I'm all for the 2 hour shift.

I concur completely, who has 100 hours to play. Looks to me that folks
just keep the site open and play over a series of days. Time limits
would make it more interesting and also a feature that would
automatically close out the site if the player remained dormant for
more than 1 hour.
