Madison West offers Self-Defense classes as a community service. We
believe that every person, regardless of gender, age, or ability, has a
right to personal safety. Our goal is to empower people by teaching them
how to avoid dangerous situations, and how to effectively defend
themselves as a last resort.
Credentials:
• Over 15 years experience teaching Self-Defense
• Head Instructor is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo
• Certified Instructors
•
Self-Defense instructors to the City of Madison, UW School of Nursing,
and several other community organizations and corporations.
Highlights:
• Simple, practical techniques
• Easy to learn and remember
• High Instructor to Student ratio
Course Outline (3 hours):
• Section 1 - Philosophy of Self-Defense
• Section 2 - Diffusing Annoying Confrontations
• Section 3 - Avoiding Potentially Dangerous Situations
• Section 4 - Stopping Sexual Assault
