First image is an example code and second is an image after the 'Align by' command. I even tested for check boxes (Align from caret position, Use reguler expression) with all possible combinations but return same as second image. what shoud I do with this 'code alignment' plugin? I'd also appreciate it if you give some other plugin options.
I use Notepad++ to do a huge chunk of my day to day work, and one thing I have to deal with frequently is reading data from CSVs. In many cases I really don't need to do anything that warrants opening Excel, but I do need the columns to be aligned so that it's easily human-readable (which Excel does excellently and N++ doesn't appear to handle at all). I found a lot of references online to the now-defunct TextFX for this, and there are other plugins that handle most of what TextFX does - but it seems that this column alignment has been left out in the cold. Is there a solution for this that doesn't involve sucking it up and being in Excel all the time?
EDIT: It was a while longer since I used that plugin than I realized, but this is the link Opens a new window to the plugin on SF. It only works with 32-bit, and can still sometimes be odd with some characters. You could also do a find/replace, but may not be predictable either. There are some search results out there with offers of .py code, if you want to go that route.

Notepad++ does not have native support for JSON formatting, but there are plugins available that can assist in formatting JSON code. One such plugin is the JSON Viewer Plugin which can be downloaded from the Notepad++ website or through the Plugin Manager.
With the plugin installed, open the JSON file you want to format in Notepad++. Go to the Plugins menu and select the JSON Viewer option. This will open a new window that displays the JSON code with proper indentation and color-coded syntax highlighting to make it easier to read and edit.
Using the SQLinForm Free Notepad++ SQL formatter Plugin can greatly improve the readability and organization of your SQL code. By properly formatting your code, it becomes easier to spot syntax errors and to understand the logic behind your queries. You can easily install the plugin.
Approach 1:
My original strategy was to find the source code of the already installed plugin, and google my way to a couple of extra lines of java code (this approach has worked for my macros so far). However, I guess this will be more complicated.
I was referring to Beyond compare about Gcodes location (and why not Mcodes and XYZcodes). I tried it and it does a great job with alignment and showing exactly what characters are different on each line and allowing to swap between windows. Regex is great too to set syntax colors or make rules to filter not important differences (like Ncodes). However I wondered if it's possible to go further with blocks location on the line(which may not be important).
I think I may know what you're meaning. We've made this modification to our own system. We wound up changing the existing date column to due date instead of adding a due date column but it should be relatively similar. This blog post, although old, helped me get pointed in the right direction. -1-9-4-show-due-date-column/The file you want to modify for the agent side is /include/staff/tickets.inc.php. I would post just my code changes but I can't seem to figure out how to format it as code in the response (it's late). I have a test setup on 1.9.12 that I modified this way. I attached the entire tickets.inc.php as a text file if you want to take a look. I'm by no means a php expert so there are probably some errors in here but it seems to work fine. I use Notepad++ and use the compare plugin to easily see the difference between this and the unmodified code.Hopefully that helps!
However, the most attractive thing about Notepad++ downloaded from the Rocketfiles.com is the long list of preloaded plugins it comes with, as well as many others that can be downloaded from various sources. This article provides a list of the top plugins for Notepad++ to help indie developers and software teams code their projects.
FunctionList is a great plugin for those commonly writing code requiring many functions or methods that need continuous checking. This plugin also allows you to view the functions you have already finished.
Never miss a spelling error in your source code again with this nice Notepad++ plugin. Unlike some other plugins offering spell checking, the Spell Checker plugin for Notepad++ does a pretty good job of pinpointing sneaky little spelling errors.
