How to adjust FC HBA command tag queuing

I have a customer site that would like to adjust the number of
outstanding I/O requests to their FC HBA's, in attempt to improve
performance. They are looking to lower the number of requests managed by
command tag queuing. It seems as though this value should be a tunable
of some sort, but I can't seem to find any information online or on the
Apple Dev Forums.
I'm not sure if command tag queuing is HBA vendor specific, but I
believe the site has all LSI cards. They are also looking to add some
8GB ATTO cards soon.
Does anyone on this list know how command tag queuing can be adjusted on
Mac OS X (10.6)?
