I'm using a Netblazer LS (to answer) and a Cisco 1004 and having
difficulty with CHAP Authentication between the routers. I've tried to
diable CHAP and run into difficulties in loading PPP.
Has anyone gotten a Cisco 1004 to talk to a Netblazer LS? Any help is
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

This is absolutely right. Setting this on the Cisco will do the trick.
Another trick is setting up a dialout on the netblazer with the exact same
login information you use on the Cisco (Username, Password, pap-chap chat
script....). You can set the phone number of that dialout record to 0 or 1
to prevent the Netblazer from actually calling into the Cisco. It's just to
have that record. It is necessary because the Cisco is doing a check on
this during authentication (bi-directional authentication). If you have
Cisco IOS 11.1.x or newer, you can prevent all that by simply using the
above mentioned "callin" parameter.
Hope this helps.
