We are in the process of upgrading our Netblazers to V. 3.1, only because
PAP, CHAP and RADIUS are supported. Now, I read in this list that PAP is
broken, and that Trumpet WInsocks and Netblazer do not interact!!!!!!

Does anyone knows if telebit will release a patch for this soon ? let's
say, this afternoon ?

Thanks

From what I have seen from Telebit, they will probably want to charge for
the patches. I've experienced bugs in V3.0 thru 3.07 and it was like
pulling teeth to get it fixed with an update. Then, if you have something
like ACS, it won't work with the new version and they will want to charge to
fix that.

There is what I consider a very bad bug in 3.07. On the sync port, when
the CD goes low the Netblazer will not reset the port. For me, it means a
trip to reset units in remote locations or networks down for a weekend. I
will probably have to pay to get this one fixed if it is fixed in 3.1. That
sucks.

I'm sure glad Novell isn't so money hungry in giving out their patches. I
guess Telebit is more of a Unix oriented company. When Novell bought Unix
Systems Lab, their non-Unix dealers complained about the high prices for the
new Unix products. The Sales Engineers told us in meetings: "Unix people
are used to paying high prices, go with it and make more money."

Any one have any comments on the cost/policy of the V3.1 upgrade? Seems a
bit on the gouging side for the price of the original product.
