Help! I get the following error when trying to su to another user while
being root:

su: warning: cannot change directory to /home/carlos: Permission denied
su: cannot run /bin/bash: Permission denied
Any suggestions on how to solve this?

What's the output of:
ls -l /home/carlos
> su: cannot run /bin/bash: Permission denied
and:
ls -l /bin/bash
