This guy has been identified and reported to the authorities. He'll be
getting a knock on the door any day now.

If any experienced users find these alerts irritating please remember that
there are many less experienced users out there who might well be caught out
by these viruses and it is these who the alerts are intended for.

It is also necessary to leave the cross-posts in place as it is not
practicable to post separate warnings to each group.

There are now three new viruses rampant at the moment. This one, arriving as
an email or NG message with a very authentic looking web page with an EXE or
ZIP file attached to it which pretends to be a patch or upgrade from
Microsoft. Don't run the file. It's the W32.Swen.A@mm Worm virus.

The second arrives attached to several different emails or NG messages, all
with very rude subject lines. It appears as a SCR file (screensaver) or as a
link to an SCR file. Either way it's the Win32.Spybot Worm. Don't open or
click the link

also Christina Aguilera with a bit of code at either end.

Watch out for new subject lines for this one. Don't run *any* screensaver
unless you're 110% sure it's bona fide. Infected *.scr files will work just
the same as *.exe files and can do just as much damage.
