Thursday 7th May we have a talk about agentic software development from a couple of our regulars.
James (Hugman) and Daz (Mothersele) are experienced developers with decades of software development between them, but neither has written any code in months. So what are they actually doing all day?
Since this alien technology arrived without a manual, they’ve both been figuring it out. What are AI coding agents? What works and where does it break? And, what does your job become when the agent is doing the typing? AI coding isn’t just a model. It’s model plus harness plus process, and that process we’re all discovering as we work out how to use this technology.
In this talk they’ll share what they’ve learned: how they’ve each adapted, what their workflows look like now, and what’s actually working. They’ll walk through some of the specifics: the ralph loop, context management, verification, and a few demos of things built along the way.
