But this version was released in Chinese language and non-Chinese users had to convert it into English. Therefore Xiaomi updated Mi PC Suite and launched it in English. But unfortunately, Mi PC Suite English version only support devices lower than Android Marshmallow.
When the Xiaomi device is connected to the computer Mi PC Suite says "Update your device before connecting" though there are no new updates. This error will be fixed in upcoming PC suite updates. Because developers are working on it

There are no solutions in this thread for Xiaomi PC Suite not detecting the phone. It continues to show the error "Update your device before connecting". I am using the latest available version of Xiaomi PC Suite 3.2.1.111.

HI, very disappointing to see MI Pc Suite of all versions are not detecting Redmi Note 8 Pro. Version 3 detects but all in Chinese.
Though the ph is a very good model, my purpose for buying the ph is failed.

Solution: just turn off "Turn on MUI optimization" in dev options. Good to know for those buying a new xiaomi phone, if you have the latest version of your phone (higher than mashmallow) the mi pc suite won't work/find your device. Cheers!

hello sir .. i tried to flash my red mi 1s through mi pc suite but not done.after that i tried adb it shows successful but after that its not starting..not charging not entering in fastboot.i think its dead..please let me know is there any chance to recover it??

HI sir this seems to be easy but the drivers cant detect my mi3 what seems to be the problem here? the adb installation guide says i need to enable usb debugging but remember i have a bricked phone so how can i do that? thanks in advance
I was not able to unzip/extract not a single Fastboot ROM I downloaded for Redmi 1S,from the various links given in posts. I always get error message stating the file is corrupt/incomplete and all my efforts to unbrick my Redmi 1s (which is in Fastboot mode) using Mi Flash and Mi PC Suite are unsuccessful.
