Please clarify.
to my understanding, when major compactions are not running, read should get slow.
But what about write requests? (it gets slow or no impact)

Hi Mayank,
Our bulk import (large files) using OpenTSDB command line (data goes into Hbase) , were extremely slow with 'compactions' enabled.
Once I disabled 'major' compactions - things started working properly.
Good read ->

Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Gopi
