clunkythe launcher seems kinda clunky. animations are not smooth enough (I am not talking about lag) and it looks dated (example - search space in settings has not round corners). Some of the parts of the launcher looks like it is from Android 4.0
Matter of taste i think, for me Bliss is the only usable launcher for Android. I tried a lot, i just find all of them so ugly and non intuitive. If there was no bliss i probably did not use /e/! But it would be nice to include Trebuchet into /e/ also, to make everyone happy.
I went through with the installation on the partition and launched it once it was finished, all is well. After rebooting the computer, I don't see it in the GRUB menu. Okay, that happened before with other installations and I update-grub.
-bliss-os/manual-install-on-linux describes manual installation on a Linux system including adding a Grub entry; I think you'll fare better with that than trying to make your system auto-detect stuff.
(Note: I do know how hard it is to write good documentation, and how little time you find for such things, but the bliss OS installation documentation is just... not very enlightening. It gives you steps without explaining any purpose (at best some command line options at times), so that if something doesn't work, it'll be hard to figure out what to do instead. I don't like it, but if you find the time, helping with documentation is universally highly appreciated in FOSS!)
UDOO X86 is a Single Board Computer based on the N-Series Intel Pentium / Celeron and x5-Series Atom family of System-on-Chips (SoCs) formerly coded as Braswell, a series of Quad Core SoCs with 64-bit instruction set and very low TDP.

Bliss-x86 is for PC project, will have a few PC centric extras added in to help with application compatibility, mouse integration, keyboard shortcuts, tc. And the creators have added a few little Linux throwbacks like bash and busybox commands, integrated Terminal and much more.
You can also find some additional features pre-installed like Root permission (SuperSu), Houdini application compatibility (to run ARM application), TaskBar launcher for a Desktop experience, in addition to the Pico version of OpenGapps.
Heads up! When you boot Android Bliss-x86 for the first time (first boot takes some minutes) the Google SetupWizard App will start automatically, like what append in a brand new Android phone. SetupWizard will crash if your device doesn't have working wifi module.
If you have this issue, please add SETUPWIZARD=0 to your grub command in order to skip it.To do this you have to stop the boot at grub and press e to temporarily modify the standard boot command in this way:
This is a project to port Android open source project to x86 platform, formerly known as "patch hosting for android x86 support". The original plan is to host different patches for android x86 support from open source community. A few months after we created the project, we found out that we could do much more than just hosting patches. So we decide to create our code base to provide support on different x86 platforms, and set up a git server to host it.
Heads up! If after a complete installation Android-x86 doesn't boot properly, we suggest to prepare the partition where you want to install the OS formatting it in ext4 and do not format again the partition during the Android-x86 wizard installation. This is a known issue, we found this solution in different articles, like this one, for example.
Remix OS from Jide is a reimagination of Android that provides a desktop-like windowed environment, powered by Android, to grant the benefits of the mobile OS with productivity characteristics of a desktop operating system such as a taskbar, true multi-tasking, and more. It's currently available on hardware made by Jide, such as the Remix Mini, but is also available as a bootable operating system for X86 devices.
I installed Bliss OS to its dedicated partition on my hard drive.
It was perfectly booting and working.
Then, I installed PrimeOS.
It was perfectly booting, but it changed the GRUB config and made it only possible to boot Prime.
The way android_x86 treats EFI GRUB config is buggy or misunderstood. No matter what android_installation you choose from grub it will just boot the first found android system on the hard drive (and it seems that device.map that causes the pain).
Rebooted and chose one of the Android installations and I meet an error telling me hd0,gpt2 not found bizarre o.O , after a bit of googling it says that it happens when running grub-install before generating or coping device.map to /boot/grub!
To fix that I had to go back to /etc/grub.d/40_custom and change hd0 to hd1 in my case
Hello to all.
I would like to run a Play Store application inside Garuda. Is there a way to install Google Play Store and safely to run an app, without constrains or been blocked by Google or same app?.
Thanks in advance.

Hello @tbg I used Bliss 11.12 and with the store it has, I do not remember the name of the store I deleted the VM, I was able to install Whatsapp but it refused to run because it did not find the Google Play Store. I installed Android-x86 on VM and have Whatsapp there working with some limitations. And one hour ago I found a video where the youtuber posted the link to download Prime OS, that he was able to run. I am going to test Whatsapp on Prime OS, but I am not going to use Prime OS due to its web page is not available, probably abandoned.

Theoretically it might work this way, given you have the stuff available:
If you have a rooted phone try running a backup and restore it in the vm if it has root rights (anbox does)
I know this problem myself quite well and was able to run Whatsapp with microG this way (not in the vm, but android without play services)
A few minutes ago I installed Prime OS on Virtualbox, it is a clone of Android 7, it is easy to install and it is a breath to work with it and it is a beautiful OS, developed for desktops, and Whatsapp runs, I do not know how well, I did not want to drop the Android-x86 that is Android 9. But Prime OS looks much better and easier on desktop, unfortunately their web page is not available. Attached a screen capture. Any one interested, this is the video with the files to download, it is in Spanish =z-MgNGtc9f8
